TRENTON, Mo. - After years of delays, a bridge in Trenton is finally being replaced.
Trenton City Administrator Ron Urton told KXCV/KRNW that crews have begun demolition of the old 17th St. Bridge, taking the first steps in a project that's been in the works for more than three years.
Urton said much of the delays stemmed from funding issues. The city partnered with three agencies and passed a ballot initiative in April 2017 to fund the bridge replacement.
